bfi has provided $25,000 to Paterson Habitat for Humanity via the NJ NRTC Program
bfi took advantage of the Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit Program (NRTC) in New Jersey to allocate $25,000 of NJ state income taxes towards the Paterson Habitat for Humanity.
The Neighborhood Revitalization Tax Credit Program (NRTC) provides businesses a 100% tax credit for funds provided to nonprofit entities carrying out comprehensive revitalization plans. Nonprofit entities must use at least 60% of the tax credit funds for housing and economic development; the remaining funds may be used for supportive services and other activities that promote neighborhood revitalization.
Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, Christian housing ministry that believes that every person should have a decent, safe and affordable place to live. They build, renovate and repair houses all over the world using volunteer labor and donations.
